1Create a New Round
Tap Rounds → +, confirm the date, and select a course. If your course is not listed, tap Add New Course.
2Add a New Course
You can search by:
- Course name
- Courses near your current location
- City
Once selected:
- Choose your tee box
- Tap Import
This downloads the scorecard and GPS data for the course.
3Launch Shot Tracking
After saving your round, choose how you want to track shots:
- Apple Watch (recommended)
- iPhone
You may also save the round to play later.
4Apple Watch Setup (Important)
Before launching your round:
- In iPhone Settings, make sure myGolfEdge app has Location Services set to "While Using the App"
- Make sure your Apple Watch is fully paired with your iPhone, including Bluetooth on and connected
- Manually activate your myGolfEdge app on your watch before you launch the app from your iPhone

5Using the Watch App
- View distances to Front / Middle / Back of the green
- Tap Club for a recommended club (recorded automatically)
- Tap Shot just before hitting
The watch records the shot location automatically.
6One-Tap Shot Tracking
No tagging. No editing.
Just tap Shot and play golf.
7Automatic Hole Detection
myGolfEdge automatically advances holes as you approach the next tee.
If needed:
- Swipe down on the Hole Number to move back
- Swipe up to move forward
8Ending the Round & Saving Data
When finished:
- Your data syncs automatically to your iPhone
If you stop early:
- Swipe up to advance to Hole 18
- Swipe once more to end the round
Make sure Bluetooth remains connected during sync.

Tap Statistics to analyze:
- Key Summary Stats
- Club Performance
- Strokes Gained
- Approach Shots
- Short Game
- Putting
Compare against:
- Your best rounds
- 5-handicap and 10-handicap benchmarks
10Strategy Insights
Tap Strategy to:
- Visualize where strokes were gained or lost
- See optimal target zones
- Review approach accuracy and dispersion
- Receive personalized strategy insights
